these are the resources that I've been using to home-school my niece and nephews, as well as a few that I used when I was teaching middle school.
Most all of them are free to use and maintain an account, some are free trials. I hope you find these resources helpful and informative.
Boston Public Library Cards are free to all Massachusetts residents and have lots of online resources attached to it. Check your local and regional library for free and online resources.
Discovery Education is a site for virtual field trips.
Duolingo is a free app that teaches a variety of languages in a fun and interactive way.
First Ladies of Poverty Foundation offers online and offline enrichment programming, mentor-ship and membership programs for youth (17 and under) and adults (18+), in addition to various free resources and grants. Target audience: people of color, but all resources are open to anyone who can benefit from them.
IXL is a Math site with free printable worksheets with answers for every grade.
NASA for Students provides access to a variety of STEM related topics and activities.
Power My Learning is a free site with fun but educational activities and games designed to foster learning after school.
Reading Eggs offers a 30 day free trial to teach your child to read during that time
Special Needs Homeschooling Resources provides articles and resources to help parents with kids who need extra attention.
Ted-ED lets you customize lessons for your kids around TED Talks
The Learning Network offers free lessons on civics, history, etc connected to current news.
